Marble & Static // Turkmenistan
Ashgabat was built to be photographed as perfect. White marble, empty boulevards, gold statues that rotate to track the sun , a capital designed as a stage set with no audience. Aa real city that already behaves like a liminal space, one frame away from showing its seams. The architecture of control toward the architecture of emptyness until the two become indistinguishable , the very moment the simulation shows its polygons.
